DEAN runs six today (two at Lingfield and four at Kempton) and Lothario and Red Cossack look to be the pick of the sextet.
The former won last time out at Kempton in a mile handicap and tonight in the 7.30, he returns in a 12-runner handicap over course and distance and is 3/1 favourite. Martin Dwyer is again on board and the 5yo grey son of Dark Angel, up just four pounds for his victory, could strike again. Dean also runs Fighting Temeraire but the mount of Rob Hornby is weak in the market at 33/1.
Red Cossack’s win/runs ratio is a rather disappointing one from 35 starts but his sole victory (in September 2015) and most of his form is at Kempton. Today, the 8yo chestnut is over a mile, the blinkers are back on and Robert Winston rides. Although not best off at the weights, if the Kempton factor works, he could go close and has each-way credentials at 9/2.
Dean’s other runners are Archdeadon (2pm Lingfield), Nicky Baby (4.10 Lingfield) and Jack Louie (7pm Kempton) but they all look up against it.
