LORDSBRRIDGE BOY and DADDY’S DAUGHER both line up for the 6f handicap at Kempton (8pm) and the former is preferred both on form and in the betting.
A winner over 5f at Salisbury last time out, Lordsbridge Boy, the mount of George Downing, is only 3lbs higher than for her last success and a winner over course and distance last year, he has to have a good chance and is a 3/1 chance.
By contrast Daddy’s Daughter’s form has been very disappointing for some time and the drop down to 6f could be a last throw of the dice. There’s certainly nothing to lose by dropping her back in trip and she has been nibbled at the betting from 20/1 to 14/1. Liam Keniry rides.
Dover Light is 33/1 to spring a surprise in the mile handicap at 6.30pm. He won at these odds under today’s jockey, George Downing at Lingfield earlier in the year but it’s asking a lot for lightning to strike twice.
Mirakuhl is 100/1 in the mile novice stakes at 6pm with Sophie Ralston taking the ride. The 3yo daughter of Fast Company will have easier opportunities when handicapping.
