Lucymai – top weight at Kempton tonight
LUCYMAI has just her fourth ever start tonight when one of 12 runners at Kempton in the 7.55, a 12-runner 7f handicap for 3yos only and she has an each-way chance at 10/1.
The Dean Ivory-trained top weight won first time out at the Sunbury track as a juvenile at 50/1 but only had one more outing last season. She ran creditably when sixth, on her seasonal reappearance after a seven month absence. She should have come on for the run and isn’t drawn badly in five. Robert Winston rides.
The favourite, Secret Insider, looks the one to beat as the Hugo Palmer-trained Elusive Quality filly easily beat Lucymai last month and a six-pound turnaround may not be enough.
