Sophie Ralston – rides Laurentia at Kempton
LAUTENTIA, a well-bred 3yo by Iffraaj, makes her debut today at Kempton in the 4.10, a nine-runner 6f novice.
Purchased for 95,000 guineas as yearling, she didn’t race at two but was bought in February of this year for just 8,000 guineas and is related to one of the yard’s top-rated horses, Librisa Breeze.
Today’s task is a tough ask as she’s the only horse without any previous racecourse experience which probably explains her 28/1 price. Sophie Ralston, fresh from her great victorious ride on Kerrera two days ago, takes the ride. Fujaira King is a worthy favourite and looks the one to beat.
