Joey Haynes – rides Laurentia at Chelmsford
LAURENTIA, makes her handicap debut today at Chelmsford in the 5.30, a 0-55 handicap over a mile and the daughter of Iffraaj is very weak in the market and has drifted out to 18/1.
She is joint-top weight on 55 but has not shown a lot on her three outings to date when she has gone off at 33/1, 25/1 and 66/1 over 6f, 1m2f and a mile respectively. Today’s company will be more to her liking and Joey Haynes takes over from Sophie Ralston, who is currently riding in Cyprus but clearly there is little market confidence in her in what looks a very open race.
The horses are generally running better and hopefully Laurentia can improve upon her three previous starts.
