DEAN runs six horses today (two at Nottingham and four at Chelmsford) and it is three last time out winners, Fantastic Flyer (5.45pm Chelmsford), Gregorian Girl (7.25pm Chelmsford) and Nicky Baby (8.30 Chelmsford) who are the ones who make most appeal.
The first of these landed a big gamble at Kempton 18 days ago at Kempton over 7f and the lightly raced 4yo filly can justify 7/2 favouritism today, again under Martin Dwyer although the 10 draw is not ideal.
Gregorian Girl, also lightly raced is a worthy 10/3 favourite in another race over 7f, a 0-65 3yo only handicap and despite another wide draw (9 of 13), she should also go close under Rober Havlin.
Whether Nicky Baby can also follow up her recent win at Chelmsford over a mile is debatable but despite reopposing the runner-up, Imperial Act on the same terms in another Classified Stakes and despite another bad draw for the stable today (14 of 15), the grey gelding has each-way claims at 6/1. Winning jockey, Sophie Ralston again rides, claiming 7lbs.
The other stable runners, Flashy Flyer (1.30pm Nottingham), Villette (3.35pm Nottingham) and Dors Diamond (6.20pm Chelmsford) are all big outsiders at 66/1, 25/1 and 33/1 respectively. Their prices reflect their chances although Villette is capable of popping up at double figure odds.
