LANCELOT WIN GIVES DEAN IVORY A RECORD YEAR

Lancelot Du Lac – £28k winner today at Lingfield

LANCELOT DU LAC’S win in the valuable 6f handicap at Lingfield today took trainer Dean Ivory past £394,000 in prize money, a record year for the Radlett handler.

Four-year-old Lancelot is the third highest rated horse in the yard and today he won off 103, his highest ever rating and earned £28,000 first prize under jockey Jim Crowley who gave the son of Shamardal a lovely ride to come home first comfortably by 3/4 length.

Last year was a record year for Dean with £367,000 won in prize money but he easily surpassed that with today’s victory, the yard’s 21st of the season.  With 21 days of the calendar year left, it’s more than possible that Dean could crack the £400,000 barrier.
