KERRERA has just her eighth run on turf today when lining up for the 1m2f handicap in Lingfield’s opener at 1.05pm and the chestnut mare has a lot to prove.
The 42-rated daughter of Champs Elysees is running 5lbs out of the handicap and although Sophie Ralston claims 5lbs, that is unlikely to be enough to give her a winning chance today.
She was beaten out of sight on heavy going at Yarmouth last October, so today’s soft ground is not in her favour.
Admittedly, she had been running over the winter when the yard was out of form but it would take a leap of faith to have confidence in the 33/1 shot today. A more likely winner is Critique for Oisin Murphy or the favourite, For Richard.
