Winner Jason Neville teeing off at the 10th
JASON NEVILLE beat 22 other players to win the Solario Racing Open at Harewood Downs on Friday.
The weather was damp and cold and a far cry from the weather we experienced at the course last July but a good hearty full English breakfast at the club set the players on their way and at 11am, the first three-balls teed off from the 10th.
Jason playing off 22, hit a particularly good front nine and at the finish was three clear with a score of 39. He received a bottle of champagne and some golf prizes from last year’s runner-up, Martin Bosley who played another good round but on this occasion did not trouble the judge.
Everyone enjoyed a well-earned excellent two-course early supper before the prize giving and afterwards, those with stamina retired to The Jolly Cricketers for additional libation.
