Ipanema Princess – runs at Deauville
IPANEMA PRINCESS, third in a recent Group 3 at Deauville, goes in search of more prize money at the Normandy course when lining up for another Group 3, the Francois Boutin over 7f, due off at 12.58pm.
Only five go to post with the withdrawal of Neversay leaving Mysterious Night a red hot favourite for Godolphin. The Southgate Stables’ filly is one of the outsiders at around 18/1 under Tony Piccone, who rode her last time at Deauville.
Although she’s up against it, Amy has not run away from stiff opposition in France this year, so we wish connections the very best of luck.
Incidentally, the Francois Boutin was won by Hearts Of Fire back in 2009! This was trained by Pat Eddery and was purchased by Pat and myself at the previous year’s Doncaster Yearling Sales.
