The Amersham Syndicate with Gunning For Glory
GUNNING FOR GLORY is the official racing name for “Des”, the 2yo Indesatchel colt owned by Solario Racing (Amersham).
The voting was a close affair with the most popular name shading Day After Day by just two points. Owner Mark Milligan explained the rationale behind his chosen name, it having to do with a certain North London Premiership football club!
At last the rain relented for today’s Naming Day and the owners were out in force to see him do a piece of work on the gallops before toasting his new name over a glass of champagne. We then adjourned with Martin and Sarah to The Apple Tree for a long, leisurely, liquid lunch!
Gunning For Glory is a February foal and is looking every inch a two-year-old who should be out in the summer which was why we had to name him despite there being limited shares available.
