Mr Banks – runs at Warwick in the 1.40
MR BANKS, owned by Cropredy Lawn Racing, has his third run over hurdles tomorrow at Warwick in the 1.40. The Paul Webber-trained 4yo son of Kalanisi is one of nine runners in the opener at the Midands’ track, a 2m5f maiden hurdle. Placed in two bumpers, he has been well beaten over hurdles at Huntingdon and Warwick last month and needs to go handicapping to be seen in a better light. After tomorrow’s run, he will be awarded an official rating and he can then compete in handicap company. The horse, a 16/1 shot, runs in cheek pieces for the second time and Charlie Poste is again on board. In terms of the likely winner, the favourite, Valiant Creek and Sporting Milan, should both be there or thereabouts. Paul runs two at Market Rasen in the evening, Lemon’s Gent in the 5.50 and Perfect Timing in the 6.50. Gavin Sheehan and Mark Quinlan are aboard respectively and both horses are easy in the market at 14/1 and 16/1.
