Dean Ivory – saddle Lucymai at Wolverhampton
DEAN IVORY saddles one horse today, Lucymai, in the 4.35 at Wolverhampton and the lightly-raced daughter of Multiplex, has a good each-way chance at 9/2. She suffered a difficult passage last time out at Kempton but was still third, beaten just 2 /14 lengths and is one pound lower today. She won on her racecourse debut last year at 50/1 but has had her problems. There is more to come and it may start to come today under Robert Winston, who has ridden all of Dean’s 11 winners this year. Paul Webber saddles two today, Alhamareer in the 1.25 at Sandown, a four-runner two miled juvenile handicap hurdle. At 7/1, he needs to improve upon his previous efforts to trouble the judge under James Best but he is not without hope. Cropredy Lawn’s other runner today is Royal Debutante in the 3.45 at Sandown, a mares’ listed bumper and this 80/1 shot has it all to do under Richie McLernon.
