IVORY PAIR HEAD OFF TO BRIGHTON

Robert Winston - rides both Ivory horses at Brighton

Robert Winston – rides both Ivory horses at Brighton

DEAN IVORY sends two horses to Brighton this evening, Soaring Spirits in the 5.20 and Harlequin Striker in the 5.50 and both have each-way chances with Robert Winston aboard both. The first runs in a 7f handicap and although he’s not won since December 2014, he’s come down the ratings accordingly and today is running off a mark of 57, his lowest ever rating.  He should handle the Good to Soft conditions and at 8/1, he may be worth an each-way look, although the horse is not one who attracts maximum confidence! Half an hour later, Harlequin Striker makes just his second start for Dean, in another seven furlong handicap.  He will also handle conditions but needs to put a disappointing run at Doncaster behind him.  Now trading at 13/2, he has been solid in the market all day. Paul Webber has just the one runner, Bayley’s Dream in the 4.10 at Ludlow, a 2m5f handicap hurdle.  If first time blinkers galvanise him, he’d have an each-way chance at 12/1.  The booking of Richie McLernon is a positive but Paul’s horses have not really been firing for some time.
