KING’S CONCERTO makes his debut on Tuesday at Brighton and Hayley Turner has been booked to ride.
The son of Thewayyouare starts his career off in a 7f median auction maiden, due off at 3.15pm and we have been pleased with his preparation. While he has been working nicely, he lacks experience whereas five of the eight runners have run before.
Interestingly, three of the runners are by second season sire, Thewayyouare including Thanksgiving Day, a 120,000 guineas yearling, owned by Michael Buckley who also owns Toast Of New York by the same sire and who won the $2 million UAE Derby.
The Richard Hannon-trained Al Bandar, rated 77 is sure to be a warm favourite but Solario Racing (Radlett) is looking forward to King’s Concerto making his debut. Whatever he does on Tuesday, he is sure to improve.
