GWAFA, Paul Webber’s most exciting recruit to hurdling has a good opportunity today in the Grade 3 Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle at Haydock (2.15) and can make amends for his unlucky “unseated” at Aintree last month.
He was quietly fancied in the Grade One at Aintree but was hampered and unseated at the fourth. The half-brother to Australia Day has been well supported but is still available at 6/1 and looks a good each-way prospect under Richie McLernon. In a very competitive race, chiewf dangers included Astra De La Cour and Ch’Tibello.
