STAKE ACCLAIM, who likes to get his toe in and whose recent turf form figures read 122, runs in the 6.50 at Lingfield today and the ground is now Good To Firm which is not ideal.
Seven go to post in the 5f handicap and old rival Firenze Rosa does battle again. At the weights, taking into account both riders’ claims, Stake Acclaim, around 3/1 today, has a bit to find on his performance two runs back when beaten by the 6yo Zebedee mare at Windsor.
Sophie Ralston, who rode Stake Acclaim last time out, is back on board again and the pair should go well at around 3/1 but the drying ground will not help. The unexposed 3yos, Marlay Park and Peerless, who both handle quick ground, look big dangers.
