BOTH Solario Racing’s trainers, Martin Bosley and Paul Webber were on the scoreboard last week, courtesy of two six-year-old greys, Topthorn at Ludlow on Thursday and Sixtysomething at Aintree yesterday.
Martin Bosley had been on the dreaded cold list for some while but connections were confident of a good run from the 6yo Silver Patriarch gelding after his promising run at Huntingdon last time out over a trip too far. (Our owners were tipped up in the exclusive Owners Area about the horse’s chances).
The horse was backed down from 20/1 to 7/1 and won the 2 mile handicap chase under the very capable Wayne Hutchinson by a comfortable seven lengths.
Yesterday, Paul Webber sent Sixtysomething up to Aintree for a Novices’ Handicap Hurdle over 3 miles and 1/2 furlong and the son of Dom Alco also won by seven lengths in the hands of Dominic Elsworth, obliging at 10/1.
Congratulations to Paul Webber, for whom this was his 400th winner over jumps in Britain and Ireland.
Solario Racing has two lovely yearlings by Amadeus Wolf and Rebellion available for 1/12th share syndication. The former, a beautifully bred filly from the family of Pursuit Of Love is being trained by Martin Bosley and the latter, a stunning chestnut colt from the family of 1,000 Guineas winner, Hatoof will be going to Paul Webber.
Both horses are currently in the care of Martin Bosley at Chalfont St Giles and are available for private viewing. If you wish to come and see them, please call Racing Manager, Simon Double on 01442 877 597 to arrange a date and time to suit you.
