SPRING ROMANCE has his first run in eight weeks when one of 12 runners in the 2.35 at Nottingham, a 0-80 handicap for 3yos and upwards and the ground conditions he faces today, Good to Soft, are an unknown quantity.
The horse has taken time to come to himself after a disappointing run at Salisbury but he has been nicely during recent weeks and is in good order to do himself justice. What we don’t know is how he’ll cope with the going but Zebedees tend to act on it, so hopefully he will too. Joey Haynes rides the 28/1 shot and at those odds, he does look overpriced for each-way purposed. We hope he runs a nice race for Solario Racing (Berkhamsted).
Thirty-five minutes later at 3.10pm, The Cruix, also the mount of Joey Haynes is a 100/1 in a 6f novice event. The price reflects his chance.
