GOLDEN AMBER is Dean’s sole runner today when lining up in the 3.10 at York, a Listed contest over 6f and on ratings, she has it all to do to beat favourite, Danzeno.
The 5yo daughter of Holy Roman Emperor is rated 97 while the jolly is rated 111 yet the former is carrying only three pounds more (and that because the Harper Lodge Farm runner has a mare’s allowance).
The even money favourite looks a good thing but Golden Amber ran well last time in a Conditions event and maybe beginning to hit form. With just seven in the field, each-way betting is not particularly attractive but on last year’s form the 12/1 shot could be in the mix. Robert Winston rides.
