THE GARSWOOD colt, Solario Racing’s exciting two-year-old, is making good progress and he did two canters for the first time yesterday.

After doing a warm-up canter, he then did a stronger canter on his own, following four-times winner, four-year-old Spring Romance up the Harper Lodge Farm gallops.  He went a good clip and looked very professional in his attitude under his regular rider, Luke Bacon.

“He is a pleasure to ride and look after.  He is coming on every day and I am very excited to see what the future holds,” said Luke, who has forged a good relationship with the Garswood colt.

Dean has also always liked him and thinks he has all the hallmarks of being an early two-year-old.  There is certainly precocity in the pedigree with the sire Garswood having won black type at two and then having sired two Group winners from his first crop last year.  On the female side, the dam, Pachanga, has produced five winners from seven runners and two of those were winners as juveniles.

The colt, yet to be named (his owners will name him democratically in secret!) will not be a Brocklesby horse but Dean is already talking in terms of taking him for a racecourse gallop in the near future.

Solario Racing enjoyed a great season last year with syndicate horses, Spring Romance and Don’t Look Down, who had four wins, four seconds, a third and two fourths from their 11 races.

If you would to get involved in a professionally run syndicate,  why not come up to Dean Ivory’s stables in Radlett, Hertfordshire and have a personal tour of the fabulous training facilities.  You will get the opportunity to see the Garswood colt in a private viewing on the gallops.  Please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 or email info@solarioracing.com to arrange a date.  Family and friends are most welcome.
