Frankie – rides Stake Acclaim at Lingfield
FRANKIE DETTORI has been booked to ride Stake Acclaim today in a Listed race over 6f at Lingfield today (3.15pm).
The 7yo son of Shamardal was due to run at Doncaster last Saturday in a Listed contest but the meeting was abandoned and so he runs today on the all-weather. While the horses’ previous four runs on the all-weather at Chelmsford and Kempton were uninspiring, they were a long time ago back in 2015 and 2016 and he’s a much better horse now.
Drawn well in three of 12, he’s well in at the weights with most of these and even if the horse is not as good on the all-weather as the turf, at 14/1, he’s worth serious consideration each-way at 14/1, especially as Frankie was second on him at Deauville back in the summer and he does not ride that often for the yard. Gifted Master and Corinthia Knight look two likely dangers.
