LAURENTIA, winner of four races this year, runs at Lingield today in the 2.15, a 1m2f handicap under George Downing and the handicapper may just have caught up with her.
Last time out, at Chelmsford, she was fourth off a mark of 63, having gone up 18lbs and she runs off the same rating today, so she is going to have to improve again to win. This likeable filly is 8/1 and she just be a shade high in the weights.
Sir Prize has won three times in his career, all at Kempton and all last year, over 1m3f – 1m4f trips, so today’s 1m4f race should suit. However, despite he’s been out of sorts of late and needs to bouncve back off a pound higher than his last winning mark to defy odds of 33/1. Again, George Downing rides.
