Dean Ivory – on fire!
THE Master of Harper Lodge Farm may have Ivory as his surname but he has certainly hit a purple patch with his last four runners all winning!
It started with Royal Guinevere at Doncaster last Thursday, stepped up a gear with a fantastic York handicap double on Saturday and culminated where it started, with Royal Guinevere again, at Windsor last night.
The 3yo filly won a shade comfortably at Donny last week and Dean decided to run her under a 6lb penalty in a fillies’ only handicap at Windsor four days later. Last night, for a while she looked to be making heavy weather of being the 7/4 jolly but in the end stayed on strongly under Jimmy Quinn and was half a length up to the good at the finish.
The yard is having a cracking year with 26 winners at a strike rate of 20% and over £170k in prize money in the bank. As Dean says “Always room for a nice horse. Partnerships welcome.”
Well, Solario Racing has three partnership horses in training with Dean including a lovely 2yo filly, a half-sister to seven winners by Amadeus Wolf out of a Kris mare, Divine Quest.
Dean has had seven winners in the last month. There surely has never been a better time to be joining Solario Racing and Dean Ivory.
