The Master of Harper Lodge Farm
TWIN SAILS is the latest and fifth Dean Ivory horse to join the 100 Club after being rated 105 by the BHA.
This exciting juvenile won his first two starts over 6f and was then a fine fourth in the Group Two Vintage Stakes over 7f at Glorious Goodwood. A member of the 100 Club, he joins Sirius Prospect (101), Caspian Prince (102), Lancelot Du Lac (108) and stable star, Tropics (117) who ran a superb race when fifth under top weight in the Stewards’ Cup.
Historically, Dean is noted for success with three-year-olds and older horses but things are a changing chez Harper Lodge Farm. This year, the Radlett handler has had three individual two-year-old winners from five runners, courtesy of Lucymai, Twin Sails and Ojai.
The stable is heading for another successful season. The stats read 18 wins from 144 runs at a strike rate of 13% with £286k in prize money. Oh…and if you have bet the horses blind, you’d be £83.35 in profit to a £1 stake!
