FIGHTING TEMERAIRE seeks to make amends for an unlucky defeat at Doncaster last time out when top-weight in today’s 5.30 at Haydock.
Dean Ivory’s talented Invincible Spirit 3yo was only beaten 3/4l earlier this month when short of room at the furlong pole. Although up 3lbs and drawn high (12 of 13), he should have more improvement in him and in a competitive contest, he should go close if overcoming the adverse draw.
Dangers abound including lightly-race sorts, Maximian and Showing Off but at 4/1, the Ivory runner is fancied to get his head in front under Robert Winston.
