FIGHTING TEMERAIRE is Dean’s only runner today when one of nine lining up for the 4.10 at Nottingham, a 1m 1/2f handicap and he needs to show a real improvement in form to be of interest today.
Once rated 93, he’s now rated 30lbs lower and his last win was in June 2016, so the 6yo son of Invincible Spirit really needs to up his game to figure today.
Franny Norton, who won on Badenscoth last week, takes the ride on the 14/1 shot and the Going is Good to Firm which is not ideal. His two previous victories have come on Good and Good to Soft.
It’s a trappy contest, borne out by the fact that with nine runners, they go 4/1 the field. The consistent Ambient looks a likely type while Where’s Jeff and top-weight, Me Too Nagasaki also look interesting.
