EVERGREEN LANCELOT DU LAC STRIKES AGAIN

Lancelot Du Lac - rated 110

Lancelot Du Lac – rated 110

LANCELOT DU LAC may be one of the older servants at Harper Lodge Farm at the age of eight but he is as good as ever and won his thirteenth career start last night when successful in a Conditions event at Chelmsford.

Six lined up for the near £30,000 six furlong contest and the son of Shamardal, who went of the 15/8 second favourite broke well under Robert Winston and was always in contention.  Tracking the leaders early on, he challenged a furlong from home, took it up and was driven out and stayed on well to win by half a length from Double Up.

Lancelot Du Lac is currently rated 110, which equals his highest ever rating first achieved three years ago in March 2015.  He has won £460,00 in prize money for owners Michael and Heather Yarrow and his strike rate is a remarkable one in four with 13 wins from 53 starts.

Tapeta and polytrack come alike to the Lance and he has won at Chelmsford, Lingfield, Kempton and Wolverhampton.  While nine of his victories have been on an artificial surface, Lancelot Du Lac has won at Newmarket, twice at York and famously last year’s Stewards’ Cup at Glorious Goodwood.  He’s often the mount for the top boys with three former champion jockeys, Frankie Dettori, Jim Crowley and Ryan Moore all successful on him.

The stable has made the best ever start to a season with sixteen winners on the board and nearly £200k in prize money and we are still in April!.   If you would like to get involved in the success, why not join a syndicate?
