Eirene – runs in Conditions event at Chelmsford
EIRENE, rated 101, has been tackling stiff opposition of late and on firm ground which would not suit so today’s four-runner Conditions contest at Chelmsford in the 3.30, should be more up her street.
The Declaration Of War filly ran a great race on her seasonal reappearance when third in the Group 3 Nell Gwyn at Newmarket but has struggled since. Last time out she was pulled up after losing her action on unsuitable fast going.
Today, she looks to have the favourite, Rock On Baileys to beat but at the weights, it could be close and the Robert Winston-ridden Eirene, a 2/1 chance, should be there or thereabouts.
