DRUSSELL won at Ludlow today making it two wins out of two for Martin Bosley who only took charge of the 7yo Orpen gelding towards the end of last year.
It was a case of déjà vu as Drussell was winning at the same track, Ludlow, over the same distance, two miles, on the same going, soft, in another amateur handicap hurdle and under the same jockey, the very capable Miss Rachel King.
So, Drussell must have been a shoe-in! Well, not quite but the 3/1 favourite did win comfortably by 3 1/4 lengths. The trainer is now worrying about what the handicapper has in mind!
Congratulations to Martin Bosley and the team. I saw this horse soon after he arrived at Bowstridge Farm at the back end of 2012 and he was not in the peak of condition. Martin has turned him around physically and won two out of two in a very short space of time…
…and I ‘m not sure I’d back against him completing the hat-trick!
