PAUL WEBBER recorded a 25/1 double at Wolverhampton today courtesy of Orchard Boy and Rysbrack.
The recent weather has taken its toll with meetings up and down the country but the BHA has been arranging some additional all-weather fixtures and today saw a seven race Jumpers Bumpers card at Dunstall Park. The Master of Cropredy Lawn took full advantage and ran seven horses in five races, all over 2 miles 110 yards.
Orchard Boy set the ball rolling with a comfortable win in the first, beating the favourite, Carole’s Destrier by 1 1/2 lengths under Dominic Elsworth. This was only the second ever run by the 11/2 shot, a 5yo son of Oscar and according to his trainer, he looks to have a bright future over jumps.
The double was completed by dual purpose horse Rysbrack, a giant son of Selkirk who justified 3/1 favouritism with a cosy win by 1 1/4 lengths, again with Dominic Elsworth in the plate. This is a lovely stamp of a horse who the trainer thinks will win over fences.
Well done to Paul and his team who have kept the horses fit enough to do themselves justice despite the recent cold snap and who spied some ideal opportunities at Wolverhampton today.
Solario Racing is delighted to be sending a lovely 2yo colt by Rebellion to Paul in the spring. Like Rysbrack, he’s a chesnut and like Rysbrack, he’s a fine stamp of a horse. It’s early days but we think like Rysbrack, he has ability!
This stunning, athletic colt available in 1/12th shares is currently stabled at Bowstridge Farm, so if you wish to see him on the gallops, you would be very welcome. Please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 to arrange a private viewing.
This is a very nice colt. Don’t say we didn’t tell you!
