IVORY’S FOUR PRONGED ASSAULT ON ALL-WEATHER CHAMPIONSHIPS

Lancelot Du Lac – favourite in the All-Weather Sprint Championships

GOOD FRIDAY for the first time ever hosts racing in England with the All-Weather Championships Finals and Dean Ivory is four-handed in his attempt to win some of the million pounds in prize money on offer.

Sirius Prospect runs in the Mile for which he is generally a 6/1 shot, Lancelot Du Lac runs in the 6f sprint (heads the market at 11/2) while Duchess of Gazeley is a 20/1 outsider in the Marathon over nearly two miles and Golden Amber runs in the 3yo Championships over 7f.

The Radlett handler, who enjoyed a record year in 2013 with 39 wins and over £360,000 in prize money, has made a quieter start to this season but believes all four horses should run well.  He is particularly sweet on the chances of Lancelot Du Lac, which is backed up by his prominence in the market.

Win, lose or draw, for a relatively small trainer to have four runners on such a valuable card is no mean feat and testimony to the increasing quality of the Ivory stable, which houses three horses rated over a hundred.
