DAPHINIA is the stable’s only runner today, when having her first run for the yard in the 6.50 at Windsor and champion jockey Silvestre De Sousa is in the saddle.
The 3yo daughter of Kuroshio, who was a top sprinter in Australia, is one of seven runners in the fillies’ handicap over 6f and she is an interesting recruit to the yard with just six runs to her name, including a winning debut and a second in a Listed contest.
Rated as high as 84 last year as a juvenile, she is now 75 and although she’ll probably come on for the run, she’s not without a squeak at around 9/1. Philipine Cobra is the odds-on favourite and a major threat.
