DARK MAGIC LOOKS PICK OF THREE RUNNERS

Dark Magic - each-way chance at Chelmsford

Dark Magic – each-way chance at Chelmsford

DARK MAGIC is one of three stable runners today, all at Chelmsford and one of nine lining up for the 6f sprint handicap at 3.30pm, he looks to be the best chance of a winner for the yard.

Third last time out at Lingfield nine days ago, he was slightly flattered by the way the race was run but nevertheless it was an encouraging return to form.  Today, drawn four under Jack Duern, the son of Invincible Spirit is fairly strong in the market and has a solid each-way chance at arounbd 9/2.  Four-time chasing Foreign Legion is an obvious danger.

Nicky Baby starts the ball rolling at 2pm in a 1m2f  handicap and still a maiden after 21 starts, one needs a huge leap of faith to back the grey at 22/1.  Robert Havlin rides.

Half an hour later at 2.30pm,  another outsider, Jack Louie is also a 22/1 chance in a 7f handicap.  Again, Jack Duern rides but it’s difficult to make a great case for him today on his handicap debut.
