DANCINGINTHEWOODS returns to the racecourse tomorrow in a 0-90 nursery after an 84-day absence and he’s not without a chance in an open 11-runner 7f handicap.
The 2yo Garswood colt’s form is very good. His 50/1 win at HQ has thrown up six individual winners who have won 11 times between them while his fourth at Epsom in the Woodcote looks outstanding form. He was beaten 8 1/4 lengths that day by a certain Pinatubo, the leading juvenile, rated 120. Not only that but the second, Oh Purple Reign is rated 102. The colt’s third run was behind the Mark Johnston horse, Thunderous who has a Derby entry, has won again twice since and is rated 103.
There are plenty of dangers including three last-time out winners, Pitchcombe, Cosmic Power and Macho Time but “Woody” is in good form at home and could be a little better than 82. He looks good each-way material at around 8/1.
