CROPREDY LAWN RACING, an exciting new jumps syndicate was launched today at Paul Webber Racing’s Open Day and I am delighted to have been appointed Racing Manager.
Solario Racing has 3yo Red Cossack in training with Paul and following an informal chat one morning on the gallops, Paul and his wife Ku expressed an interest in creating a jumps syndicate…and so it was born!
On a beautifully warm September day, some 200 owners and guests turned up for Paul’s annual Owners’ Day and around 50 horses were paraded including the two horses which will comprise the 20-owner jumps syndicate, Cropredy Lawn Racing.
The horses are both unraced, a 4yo Juddmonte Farms bay gelding by 2006 Arc winner, Rail Link and a brown 3yo gelding by 2000 Breeders’ Cup winner, Kalanisi. Both horses are proven sires…in fact, Kalanisi sired 2008 Champion Hurdle winner Katchit!
The syndicate will run for two seasons and only two all-inclusive payments are required to cover purchase and all training fees for two seasons…in both horses!
There was strong interest on day one of Cropredy Lawn Racing and many owners and prospective owners were very interested in the idea of owning not one but two horses for a modest outlay.
