CONSISTENT STAKE ACCLAIM GETS HIS GROUND

STAKE ACCLAIM, a model of consistency on turf recently with a win and four seconds, has his ideal soft ground at Lingfield today (3.15pm) and should go well in an admittedly trappy handcap over 5f.

Callum Hutchinson, who won on him in an apprentice rate at Windsor in Mayl, is back on board and claims 7lbs today.  That claim could be invaluable on the 4/1 shot who may have most to fear from Amy Murphy’s  Ehrmann.

Laurentia is not without hope at 33/1 in the lucky last at Windsor (8.30pm) a mile handicap.  The filly ran well over 7f last time out on the grass at Lingfield nine days ago and should appreciate the step back up to a mile.  Sophie Ralston, who knows the horse well, claims 5lbs.  The worry is the soft ground but if she handles it (hasn’t in the past) she might be worth a second look each-way.  Last time out winner Devil’s Cub and St George’s Bay, the mount of Oisin Murphy look big threats.
