Luke Bacon – rides Classic Star at Sandown
CLASSIC STAR, bred by Gracelands Stud runs in the opener at Sandown today (5.25pm) and has a chance of giving stable apprentice, Luke Bacon a first ever winner if market support is anything to go by.
Nine line up for the Apprentice handicap over a mile and the lightly-raced Sea The Moon gelding, who has shown up quite well in his last two races at Leicester and Chelmsford, could reward each-way backers at around 7/1 (was 10/1 overnight).
Luke has had seven rides this season, his first as an apprentice and he has had three fourths to date. The rider of Dancinginthewoods at home, he has shown enough in the saddle to suggest his turn won’t be far away.
