CHARMING KID FIRST RUNNER BACK FOR YARD

Charming Kid – stable’s first runner back since resumption

CHARMING KID is the yard’s first runner back since the resumption of racing, when lining up one of ten runners for the 2.10 at Kempton, a 5f handicap.

The former Richard Fahey-trained 4yo son of Charm Spirit is rated 82 and is having just his fourth run for the yard.  He’s drawn badly, 10 of 10 but is well handicapped on his best form and wasn’t beaten far last time out over 5f back in February.

George Downing has his first ride for the stable and although a weak 9/1 shot, if he can overcome the drawn, he wouldn’t be without an each-way squeak.  Dangers include Spoof, who has come in for support and also the well-backed Amplify, the mount of champion jockey, Oisin Murphy.
