DEAN IVORY runs four horses at Leicester today, all with Martin Dwyer on board and they are all big drifters in the market but it might still be worth having a second glance at Celtic Chieftain, a 25/1 shot for the 4.20, a 13-runner novice event over a mile and a half.

The 5yo son of Galileo made a very pleasing debut at Windsor three weeks ago when third, beaten 3/4 length.  He wasn’t knocked about that day and granted normal improvement should be in the mix today.  It is a tough race with Simon Crisford’s Outbox a previous winner of his only start and odds on favourite today while Godolphin’s Forest View was second on his debut and James Fanshawe’s Lilypad was third on her second outing.

Martin Dwyer, who rode Celtic Chieftain, is aboard again and 25/1 looks a massive each-way price.

The other three stable runners are Lordsbridge Boy (200/1) in the 2.50, Vena D’Amore in the 4.50 (401) and Dors Law in the 5.20, (25/1).  Their prices probably reflect their chances, although the latter two are each-way squeaks of sorts.
