Dancinginthewoods – runs at Leicester

THE STABLE has been going through a lean patch for a long while now, so the question is can Dancinginthewoods and/or Nezar break the yard’s duck for the year?

They both run in the Midlands today, the former at Leicester (1.35pm) and the latter at Wolverhampton (5.10pm).  Both are in good form and have a few things going for them.

“Woody” is one of eight runners in a 0-80 handicap and has the excellent Hollie Doyle on board.  He is being dropped back to 6f for the first time in nearly two years, so that is rather an unknown but we’re hoping he’ll appreciate the shorter trip than the 7f he’s used to running over.  The son of Garswood is running off 78 and he should be competitive off this mark.

Nezar should have won last time out and Sophie Ralston will be hoping to make amends this time around on a horse who is extremely well handicapped and whose ideal trip and course is 7f at Wolverhampton.

The two horses both have good each-way chances at around 6/1 and 11/1 respectively.
