BLINKERS TO WORK THE MAGIC?

Dark Magic - runs at Lingfield

Dark Magic – runs at Lingfield

DARK MAGIC is one of three stable runners today and if the first-time blinkers work in the 3.30 at Lingfield, a nine-runner 6f handicap, he could go close.

A winner on his second start at Newmarket in July 2017, he has been a little disappointing since but with the headgear and Adam Kirby riding the son of Invincible Spirit for the first time, the 4/1 shot looks a solid each-way shout.

Also at Lingfield, Dean runs Swiss Chime in the 1.50, a 5f handicap and Megan Nicholls rides, claiming five.  A winner at Southwell on New Year’s Day, he disappointed next time out at Kempton behind Kingi Compton, whom he reopposes today.  At the weights, Swiss Chime needs to find wings to turn the tables around.

Finally, Hello Girl is an interesting 16/1 chance, dropped back in trip to 5f at Chelmsford in the 6.15, a 0-75 handicap for four-year-olds and upwards.  The 5yo Bated Breath chestnut filly is interesting with John Egan aboard and she is overpriced at 16/1.
