BLAZE OF HEARTS is one of six Dean Ivory horses running today and looks the most likely chance of a winner when lining up for the eight o’clock at Windsor.
One of seven runners in the 1m2f maiden he was second at 66/1 over course and distance a fortnight ago and has been well backed into 9/4 second favourite to get his head in front under Robert Winston this evening.
Robert is aboard two other horses for Dean at Windsor, starting with Harlequin Striker at 7pm, a seven-runner mile handicap but the ground may not be soft enough for this 13/2 shot and the odds-on September Stars could be hard to beat for Messrs Beckett and Crowley.
Links Drive Lady, Firmdecisions and Stake Acclaim all line up for the 6 handicap at 7.30 and the last of the Ivory trio may have the best each-way chance under Robert Winston at 15/2.
Finally, at Kempton in the afternoon, stable apprentice, Jack Duern claims 3lbs on Pearly Queen, having just her second ever race in a 7f maiden having been fourth on her debut at Yarmouth last month over six. The extra furlong may help and she has an each-way squeak at 16/1 but the favourite Poyle Emily is the one to beat.
