Awtaad Prince – runs at Southwell
AWTAAD PRINCE is one of three runners for the stable today and is an interesting contender at Southwell in the 6.30, a 7f maiden.
He ran well on his debut at Sandown nearly three weeks ago when sixth, beaten just 4 3/4 lengths behind a Godolphin debutante. The 2yo son of Awtaad will undoubtedly have come on for the experience and he has an each-way chance at around 12/1 under 5lb claimer, Frederick Larson. Dangers include Double March, James McHenry and Castle Peak.
Moonlight Frolic also had each-way claims at 14/1 earlier on the card at 5pm in a mile handicap. Her run last time out when well beaten can be dismissed and on earlier Kempton form, she could be competitive under Stefano Cherchi, who claims 3lbs.
The first runner is Continuation, a 50/1 shot in Leicester’s two o’clock, a 7f nursery. George Wood rides this son of James Garfield who is weak in the market and needs to benefit from the step up in trip from 6f.
