ARCHDEACON INTERESTING WITH CLAIMER BOOKED

Stake Acclaim - returns to racing at Newbury

Stake Acclaim – returns to racing at Newbury

ARCHDEACON is an interesting runner for the stable which fields four today in that Megan Nicholls, who claims five, has been booked to ride the lightly-raced 3yo in a mile handicap at Kempton (4.35pm)

The son of Archipenko has gradually come down the weights from 56 on his handicap debut last July to 49 today and with the apprentice’s claim, that is reduced further to 44.  He’s also come in for some market support into 8/1 and has each-way claims.

Also of interest each-way at a massive price is Stake Acclaim who returns to the track after an absence of 517 days when lining up in the eight-runner Dubai Duty Free Handicap over 5f at Newbury (2.35pm).  He will undoubtedly benefit from the run but will relish the soft conditions and with Adam Kirby booked, looks overpriced at 28/1.

Back at Kempton, Fantastic Flyer and Jack Louie look to have stiff tasks in two divisions of a Classified race over 7f.  Both are the mounts of Martin Dwyer and both are 18/1 shots.
