Archdeacon – runs at Chelmsford
ARCHDEACON, the stable’s sole runner today (3.10pm) , has solid claims in a Classified Stakes at Chelmsford over a mile and two furlongs.
A course and distance winner last year, he slightly lost his way but signalled a return of form when second at Bath last week over 10 furlongs.
Today, he is joint-top rated, so is well in at the weights with most of the nine other runners. George Downing, who was on board last time out, is again in the saddle and he should not be far away at around 3/1.
