ANNIESUELLA, the 3yo filly by Whipper made her first steps towards the racecourse today when entered for a 7f fillies’ maiden at Lingfield next Tuesday on the all-weather.
She has not been an easy filly to train and was rather stop-start last year. However, Martin and Sarah’s patient approach to her training regime looks like it might start to bear fruit for her owners, Solario Racing partners, Troy Attwood, Simon Coggon, Malcolm Edwards and Jason Neville, in whose name she runs.
Apart from one or two physical problems, she has her fair share of temperament! There’s nothing malicious in her but she’s quite a spooky filly and she’s needed the kid glove treatment ever since arriving at Bowstridge Farm from the Doncaster sales back in the autumn of 2010. In fact, she caused havoc in the horsebox on the way to the yard!
The filly does have ability however and in time could belie her bargain basement price of £5,500 at the sales. Next week, we just want her to enjoy the racecourse experience and hope she copes with all the preliminaries, particularly going into…and coming out of the stalls!
Roman Senate also has an entry next Tuesday, at Yarmouth but will not run unless the ground dries out significantly between now and then.
