AMADIVA is the new name for the 2yo Amadeus Wolf filly and she thrilled her syndicate owners on the gallops at her Naming Day yesterday.
Dean Ivory, who took charge of the filly last month, has done a wonderful job with her. As a yearling she was rather diminutive but during the last three months, she has blossomed into a proper racehorse and is really starting to use herself on the gallops, much to the delight of her owners, trainer and Racing Manager.
As we watched the filly canter, the owners still did not know her name but after adjourning back to the trainer’s office, over a glass of champagne, it was revealed that Amadiva was the winning name, voted for by her owners beforehand.
As is customary with Solario Racing Naming Days, we then adjourned to a nearby restaurant for lunch and the odd tincture!
In terms of the newly named filly’s racing plans, Dean is looking to run her in October. He is very sweet on this half-sister to seven winners from the family of European Champion Sprinter, Pursuit Of Love.
If you would like to get involved in a very exciting well-bred filly whose racecourse debut is not far off, why not come and see her on the gallops? Please call the Racing Office on 01442 877 597 to arrange a private viewing.
