A “ROYAL” WINNER FOR DEAN IVORY

Harper Lodge Farm – sends out another winner

DEAN IVORY’S horses continue in excellent form and the Master of Harper Lodge Farm hit the target today with a “royal” winner at Doncaster.

Okay, the victorious three-year-old was not running in the famous purple, scarlet and gold braid colours but she did have a royal name!

All the media hype of late has been about the name of the third in line to the throne and as is so often the case, the bookmakers had it right with the favourite George duly obliging.  At Doncaster tonight, a name harking back to Arthurian legend justified favouritism.   Royal Guinevere, owned by M J Yarrow went off the 3/1 jolly and won comfortably by one and a quarter lengths under Jimmy Quinn.

This very likeable Invincible Spirit filly was recording her second win in nine starts and she has not been out of the frame in her last five outings.

Dean was registering his 23rd winner of the season at an impressive 18% strike rate and 48% of all his runs have been in the first four.

Success breeds success and there’s no doubt there will be plenty more winners to savour during the rest of the season at Dean Ivory’s Radlett Stables.
