FIRM ORDER won at Sandown yesterday in a plan which was a marketing and advertising man’s dream.
On a very cold and somewhat damp afternoon, Cropredy Lawn Racing had a promotional stand at Sandown, placed an advert in the racecard and donated a half share in the syndicate for the charity auction, which was part of a big afternoon for the insurance industry in the Solario Suite.
Paul’s horses have been quiet for a while but what a time to win a race at a Grade One track at a major meeting. Ridden beautifully by Mr M J P Kendrick in the amateurs’ race over 3 miles 1/2 furlong, the 9-y-o son of Winged Love was winning his second race over fences and his fifth race in 29 starts.
Who owned the horse? The Syndicators! What a marvellous advert for racehorse syndication in general and Cropredy Lawn Racing in particular.
To round off a fabulous afternoon, a share was sold in Cropredy Lawn Racing!
